It All Started With...

an invitation from friends and an 11-night cruise.

Over 15 years ago, some good friends of ours, who had children around the same age as ours, invited our family to join them on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Little did we know that one vacation would spark a lifelong love of cruising!

I still remember how amazed we were by the sheer size of the ship, the incredible service, the entertainment, and of course, the food! But what really stood out was how easy it was to disconnect from the demands of everyday life, slow down, and enjoy quality time together as a family. And the fact that we could wake up somewhere new and explore multiple Caribbean destinations in one vacation? We were hooked!

That first cruise quickly became a family tradition.

Every winter, we looked forward to escaping the Canadian cold and setting sail on another adventure with our kids. As they grew into teenagers, we decided to branch out and try MSC Cruises, discovering that different cruise lines offered their own unique experiences.

Those annual vacations gave us some wonderful family memories, and cruising remained a tradition until our kids headed off to college.

Then came a new chapter: cruising as empty nesters!

With the kids grown, we decided it was time to try something different. That’s when we discovered Virgin Voyages, and we absolutely fell in love with its boutique-inspired atmosphere, adults-only experience, and how much was included in the fare.

After more than 10 cruises, my love for travel had only grown. What started with exploring the Caribbean had turned into a desire to discover more of the world, experience different cultures, and appreciate the incredible landscapes and destinations beyond the places we’d already visited.

But there was one more experience that changed everything.

For years, I had always booked our cruises directly with the cruise lines. I enjoyed doing the research and planning everything myself. But when it came time to book our first Virgin Voyages cruise, I decided to try something new and work with a travel advisor.

I wanted to make sure we weren’t missing any insider tips, helpful advice, or little details that could make our first experience with a new cruise line even better.

That decision opened my eyes to just how valuable having a knowledgeable travel advisor on your side could be.

Even as someone who loved researching and planning travel, I realized there was so much value in having someone who understood the cruise line, could offer guidance, and help make the entire experience easier.

And that’s when everything started to come together.

I’ve always been someone who loves organizing, researching, paying attention to the little details, and helping others. Combine that with my passion for cruising and exploring the world, and becoming a travel advisor just felt like a natural next step.

That’s how Anchor & Air Travel came to life.

Today, I get to share that same excitement with my clients, helping them discover the right cruise line, ship, itinerary, or travel experience for their own adventures.

And whether you’re planning your very first cruise or your fifteenth, my goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and genuinely excited about what’s ahead.

Because I know firsthand how one amazing vacation can turn into a lifetime of unforgettable memories.
